The club held a luncheon meeting twice a month on ocld Wednesdays. Highlights of the year were a talent show for Hungarian relief, a fall Juco conference at Chanute, and the spring Y conference at Hays. Future Teachers of meriea 'jr ,l , The Mary Lyon Future Teachers of America Chapter was organized in 1939. Since that time it has been a ver active organization. This ear the club had 48 members with Mr. Burgess serving as sponsor. He has een the F.T.A. sponsor for 14 years. This year the club met forlunchon each odd Friday. During the first semester the club made a trip to Hutch inson where they visited the Salt Mines, a round house, the Reformatory, and the News-Herald. They also sponsored a milk machine which was installed in the Pedigo building. The last semester the club will assist the Pratt Teachers Association in their N.E,A. celebration and will send delegates to the Third Annual K.S.F.T.A.
