- ilili-T11 1- Junior High Prepares for the Futuref V 1 Dennis Ross ,l This has been an action packed year for the students in Junior High. If the junior high students were not busy stretching out their winning streak in sports, they were involved in many other activities. The cast of the musical, Funky Winker- beans Homecoming set many wonderful experiences before their long awaited night of recognition. Mr. Dax'yl Ramsey and Mrs. Vivian Stroup taught Project STAR to the students during the second nine weeks. Project STAR is Student Awareness and Resistance. Throughout the year, both the eighth and ninth grade classes sponsored a dance for the entire junior high. The officers for the eighth grade class were as follows: President, Johnie Mit- chellg vice-president, Lisa Nilgesg secretary, Amy Millard, and treasurer, Sarah Ray. The seventh grade class of- ficers were: President, Teresa Rocheg vice president, Marcie Teagardeng secretary, Julie Price, and treasurer, Melissa Stoughton. Although Junior High is just a stepping stone on to further education, it still holds many treasurable moments and ex- periences. The memories made during Junior High adventures will last through- out their high school years - and beyond.
