S ecial honors go to David Lettermen! Culture Club Letternmen's Club is an organization designed for those athletes who have ex- celled in various sports throughout their high school career. Both boys and girls are eligible for admittance into the club once they have lettered. However, they must stay in that sport throughout high school. A video party, complete with pizza and coke, was the highlight of the year. Lead- ing the club were: President - Kim Mc- Corkell, vice president - Chad Allen, sec- retary-treasurer - Lisa Baker and Stuco representative - Todd Golladay. Prairie View s Culture Club was organized four years ago to give students an opportunity to enjoy recreational ac- tivities that they may have been unable to attend otherwise. This year's first trip was on Oct. 18 to the American Heartland Theatre to view the musical Pump Boys and Dinettesf' After the show, the group went to Ponak's, a Mexican restaurant, for dinner. On Jan. 6, 39 students loaded up to hit the slopes at the Snow Creek Ski Area in Weston, MO. After an hour-long ski class, in which students were taught the basic moves, the group was prepared to brave the slopes. The last trip of the season was on April 15. The group traveled to Kemper Arena to see the Ice Capades. The show featured a Salute to Hollywood which included the Smurfs, ice dancing and stunts, comedy acts, a life-size chess game and a grand finale. After the ice spectacular, the group ate at Wendy's.
