- ', 1 '.f.,.', fi Pri 1 ? This year's team was composed of many underclassmen. Two seniors Chad Allen and David Kline led the young team this year. The increased number of tracksters gave the team depth. They were able to cover every event and score in each of them. Much of the young people on the team faired very well. With losing only two lettermen, Coach Biu'ke should have a very strong team next year. Being able to cover all events was very important. They didn't have to rely on one area for the points. Central Heights was the best over all meet this year. The boys scored well in all areas, which combined for a high team total. They worked hard to bring up the fourth and fifth places to third places and more points. 4A Regionals at PV was another very good meet for individual team members. The top three in each event would get to go to the state meet in Wichita. Twice in a row he brushed the bar on his way down as he was attemp- ting to clear 12'. Todd's vault of 11'6 was his best ever. He took fourth place in the pole vault. Chad Allen just missed qualifying in the 800-meter run. Allen was placed in the slow heat, making his race against time. Chad placed fifth in the event. Chris Bishop also placed in the top six at Regionals. Chris placed fourth in the 3200-meter run. He was six seconds behind the third place finisher. The qualifying event was the 3200-meter relay made up of Chad Allen, Chris Bishop, Robert Tolley and,Eric Canada. The relay finished second with a time of 8:23.01. This also' set a 24 second faster school record. At the state meet, the relay couldn't get a faster time.
