Courtwarming During the week of January 4, creative posters lined the halls of Prairie View, en- forcing this year's theme Time of Your Life. Pajama Day began the week, followed by Dress-up-like-Your-Favorite- Teacher Day fwon by Jimmy Farris and Lisa Baker.J Gregg Polley and Mindy Henderson won the Dress-in-Your-Bright- est Day on Wednesday and Thursday Jerry Cutshaw and Lisa Marchand won Masquerade Ball Day. On Friday Rodney Benson and Kerry Hampton took the tradi- tional Green-and-White Day. Trying to pump everyone up for the Spr- ing Hill Broncos, the PV Cheerleaders cooked up a little something for the king and queen candidates. The girls were re- quired to share water balloons which were strategically placed on the heads of their male counterparts, and, even though the ladies were careful, accidents do happen. Then with a little revenge on their minds, the boys got to shoot shaving cream off the girls' noses using squirt bottles as their weapons. The cheerleaders later performed a dance routine to Run DMC's Tricky. At about 9:30 the Courtwarrning dance began to sounds of the musical group, Scotland Yard. The highlight of the night, and the week, was the crowning of Dennis Ross as Courtwarming King and Kim Mc- Corkell as Courtwarrning Queen for the 1987-1988 year. Their court included Kent Stahl, Daryl Davis, Jeff Hampton, Tammy Boone, Lisa Jackson and Dana Teagarden. fs, Q8
