Forensics To be a Forensics team member you must be outgoing and committed. Setting up a time to practice before and after school takes a special effort. Compromise becomes very important during the Foren- sics season. All the meets were held on Saturday but that wasn't all bad. The peo- ple you meet at tournaments were unique and probably wouldn't have met anywhere else. People are coming into Forensics to im- prove their acting and speaking ability. After the first time jitters are gone, they discover they like it and have fun. Many accomplishments have been at- tained this year. The goals of breaking finals, getting a I, and making it to State were all reached by PV students. Celeste Capehart was a State Championship Qualifier. She was also named the Outstan- ding Forensics Student. Student who were in Forensics and their event are as follows: Stacey Ross, duet acting: Dennis Ross, duet actingg Celeste Capehart, solo acting, Stacey McGee, informative speaking, Paula Rowe, extemporaneous speaking, Angie Catron, poetry interpretation, Janet Carter, extemporaneous speaking, Nannie Kline, prose interpretation, Tara Stain- brook, informative speaking, Karre Bur- chett, original orationg Jodie Long, solo actingg Tracie Kline, poetry interpreta- tion, and Mrs. Pam Baugh, coach. f fl Z- X 2 CL te ' 'Q , 5, ff , Q it Left Tara Stambrook, Paula Rowe Angie Catron, and Janet Right Nannie Kline, Stacey McGee Dennis Ross, Stacy Ross and Celeste Capehart.
