5 Girls' Basketball g g J J gA AM- - AA, Wg Having only 7 girls out for basketball A 'i 7 ir did not stop the eighth graders from 4- i nl Q posting a 4-5 record. In no game did the young girls get blown out. They played well all year and brough respect A to their program. ll Twelve seventh graders worked together to compile a 6-3 season. Their 4 three losses were not only close but also to strong teams. With these numbers and a healthy, winning spirit, next year's season looks bright. sr . ik , uk A, Eighth Grade P.V. Boys' Basketball ,,,.... With both the seventh and eighth grade teams finishing with 1-8 records, many would think that there would be no highlights. However, Coach Vic Roche said he did have several memor- able moments. The biggest was pro- bably the eighth graders overtime vic- tory over Gardner. The seventh grade will return 14 players to next year's squad which will give a good foundation to build around. Though few statistics are kept on the junior high level, it is imperative to remember that, though winning is im-A portant, building good sportsmanship and a quality attitude helps to make to- morrow's leaders.
