Sophomore Maid. Escorts: L to R: Paul Crockett, Brett Barr. Keith Smith, Steve Ferrell. Dirk Lawhon, Jim Eckles. Kelly McGuire. Tim Ogden and Robert Harper. The week prior to PVA Homecoming was exciting and filled with a variety of things. Our cheerleaders sponsored a progressive supper for the football team. We had purple and gold day, urban western day, brand name attire day and dress up day. Senior football players escorted the Queen and her Court to the student body during the pep assembly held at two o’clock that afternoon. Introducing the Court was Mrs. Pat Carter, PVA faculty member. Principal Joe McMakin and Board member Tommy Rolfe crowned Queen Chellie Reynolds. Chellie’s young brother, Russell and young sister, Ashley were a part of presentation ceremonies. As each court member was introduced, two members of the Student Council presented her with flowers. The court looked very lovely in the throne area arranged by Mrs. Costello and Mrs. Higginbotham. Homecoming was a great event made possible by the work of many students, teachers, and parents.
