For reading of supeerb quality I’d place Kaden. Eric, Jason and Alan very bold. For speed, comprehension and expression A record most children don’t hold. Now math is a different subject To be placed in plain view. For Charles, Britt, Eddie, Chad Staci and Eve It’s not a hard thing to do. Writing is very important For neatness counts a lot. To make a picture perfect Carlton, Shannon, Ryan. Michael, Debbie and Lance Would be in the perfect spot. Now a picture is not complete Until it will very well show. Just what is exactly intended For each of the viewers to know. With Kevin, Michelle and Heather It's very easy to do. Because with their politeness and expertise Will put the picture right in view. We had purple and gold day, urban western day, brand name attire day and dress up day. Senior football players escorted the Queen and her Court to the student body during the pep assembly held at two o’clock that afternoon. Introducing the Court was Mrs. Pat Carter, PVA faculty member. Principal Joe McMakin and Board member Tommy Rolfe crowned Queen Chellie Reynolds. Chellie’s young brother, Russell and young sister, Ashley were a part of presentation ceremonies. As each court member was introduced, two members of the Student Council presented her with flowers. The court looked very lovely in the throne area arranged by Mrs. Costello and Mrs. Higginbotham. Homecoming was a great event made possible by the work of many students, teachers, and parents. JUNIOR SENIOR PROM m EVENING IN PARIS The juniors worked very hard to bring Paris to Prairie View. They succeeded in creating a romantic evening with the help of the band “Pieces.” Mr. and Mrs. Travis Jackson invited the guests to their home following the dance for breafkast. Fall Festival The P V A Parents and Friends Club First annual Fall Festival was a Hugh success. The event cleared $6,004.93. The biggest money maker of the Festival was the raffles. We are already making plans for next year’s festival. Thanksgiving Mrs. Sterling’s 3rd grade students presented the play “The First Thanksgiving” to the student body during a Thanksgiving assembly sponsored by the student council. The speech students followed the theme of the program by using a scarecrow to tell the real meaning of Thanksgiving. 105 A Hillbilly Christmas PVA Booster Club constructed a float for the Christmas parade and our band, pranchers and students enjoyed riding in the parade. The speech students added additional enjoyment with their play “A Hillbilly Christmas.” PVA Playday Members of our Parents Club sponsored our second PLAY DAY. Students and faculty members stopped all class work and joined the parents for games, relays and food. What a great day! 107 Athletic Banquet Athletic Director Finley Cartwright a warm welcome to students and parents and introduces our guest speaker from La. Tech.
