Faculty-Staff in the News Track Coaches Barbara Jacket and Hoover Wright served as managers and assistant coaches for U.S.A. participants in the World Games held in July in Bucharest, Rumania. Miss Jacket also coached the U.S. team in the Pacific Conference Games in New Zealand Dr. R. N. S. Rao, P.E. professor and chairman. Civil Engineering Dept, has been selected as a member of the national standardizing committees by American Society for Testing and Materials. Mrs. Mamie J. McCloud. Dept, of Foreign Languages, served as sectional chairman of the South Central Modern Language Associate Meeting in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Ruby Bell, administrator, Division of Community Affairs and Dr. Marion Henry, Director of the Learning Resource Center, were both elected to the Waller Ind. School Dist. Board of Directors. Dr. George R. Woolfolk, Chairman. History Dept., has been named Vice Pres, of the Texas State History Department. Dr. Lucius R. Wyatt. Music Department, was appointed to serve as the Music Advisory Panel of the Texas Commission on the Arts. Dr. Jewellean Mangaroo, Dean. College of Nursing, was selected by the National League of Nursing to serve as Team Chairman for a site visit to the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Dr. Sarah Robinson Williams.
