Growing in popularity is the slogan Prairie View Produces Productive People. It has probably caught on because obviously it is a fact, and also because it provides a rallying point for a special type of educational institution. Like other traditional black colleges. Prairie View A M must constantly define its special mission and. in a sense, prove its worth. There is little doubt that P.V. has produced outstanding citizens in the past. The sampling of P.V.-ites who made news in 1974-75 is presented here as examples. A broader list could contain thousands of ex-students serving throughout the nation and the world in virtually every field of endeavor. Hie 1975 PANTIIURLAND staff decided to highlight the slogan and extend it to include the university's present activities and programs. I hese pages will show how Prairie View Produces Productive People. It is our hope that this record of leadership will stand, and as we move ahead year by year these young prinlucts will evolve as actual, full-fledged producers of all that is good for mankind cvcrvwhere.
