Black love is cold; cold warm. A prickly, sticky, yummy feeling that comes at the right time. Right time. It’s like holding hands, or walking. Just walking. It’s smiling. Laughing. Blacklove is warm . . . like watermelon seeds, like dancin’ in the streets, like beaches and sand. Blacklove is warm . . . Blacklove is pride. It’s little old ladies giving money to Angela’s defense fund because she was smart and black, even though they could not afford it. It’s like mothers when daughters and sons go to college, and like neighbors when they come home for Christmas. Blacklove is pride. A good, good feeling that comes when one sees beautiful Black people doing good, good things. Blacklove is pride.
