BLACK LIBERATION THROUGH EDUCATION Pantherland 1973 is dedicated to the idea that the full liberation of Black people must come through Education The very existence of Prairie View A M, both in the past and even now. is predicated on the principle of providing (specially suited) education for a large number of youth from black communities over the state and the nation. So a major objective of the College is to provide opportunities for those in Texas and elsewhere who are culturally, socially, and economically disadvantaged, as well as providing programs attractive to all youth Unfortunately, too large a number of blacks are still on the outside wanting in There are many ways being proposed for getting into the mam stream and it is possible that many varieties of ways will work All will agree, however. that education is an essentia1 factor in moving ahead, and at PVA M. we take this opportunity to point up the fact that Education Is The Way While Pantherland 73's theme aims at Black Liberation. PV’s small minority of non-blacks are certainly a part of the whole team on the hill whose vision is one of quality education, and equal opportunities tor all And together we face the challenges of the coming years ahead
