Dean of Instruction and Dean of the School of Engineering, carries a triple role in college administration, lie also serves as Director of several auxiliary enterprises, chairman of student Employment and Athletics. HORACE D. MURDOCK. Business Manager, is the chief financial officer of the college. He is responsible for coordinating the fiscal and business operations of the college. THOMAS R. SOLOMON. Dean of Students, is responsible for the coordination and development of programs in the area of student services. He also serves as professor of Political Science. ADMINISTRATION HARRY E. FULLER. Dean of Men. is responsible for the housing of all male students. He directs all activities associated with living conditions of men and for their general welfare. REDA L. BLAND-EVANS. Dean of Women, is responsible for the housing of all female students and the coordination of programs designed for the safety, general welfare and comfort of college women. LEROY MARION, Assistant Dean of Men. is directly responsible, through the Dean, for the provision and maintenance of housing facilities for all male students. 22

Director of Information Services. is responsible for the College news sere-ice. official and student publications, photography. and coordinates the public relations program of the college. GEORGE R. RAGLAND. Registrar and Chairman of the Department of Sociology, maintains official academic records of students and coordinates the registration programs. JONKL L BROWN. Director of Extramural Services and Mead of the Department of Economics, coordinates various conferences, workshops and meetings and works with off-campus programs, including extension courses. C. I). YANCY. Director of the College Placement Services, assists graduating students and alumni in making contacts for job placement. He also directs the Prairie View Interscholastic League Pro gram. EMORY R. OWENS. Director of College Health Service, directs the services which are maintained to safeguard the health of students and to provide medical care as needed. JAMES E. MOSBY. JR.. Special assistant to the President, represents the president on special assignments and conducts studies designed to improve goodwill and public relations for the college. 23
