CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON TWO NEW DORMITORIES Two new dormitories were constructed in 1964 65 which will accommodate 1,000 men and women. The buildings are modern in every respect and will be completely air conditioned. A federal loan of $21 2 million was secured to pay for these new buildings. The addition of these housing facilities will relieve a long and serious problem. OTHER PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENTS Several of the college dormitories were renovated for the year. Anderson Hall for women and Lucky Hall for men had new furnishings throughout all rooms. Outside repair work was completed on Anderson, Blackshcar, Crawford, Evans and Minor Halls. Other physical improvements included the completion of the Computer Center and the new Health and Physical Education building. Smaller projects such as drainage, electrical work and street improvements were completed. 4

NFAV COMPUTER CENTER ESTABLISHED Construction was completed early in the year on a new computer center for the college. A building to house the enlarged data processing facilities has been constructed adjacent to the administration building. The building project is reported to cost $20,000.00. The new center is expected to handle business operations at the college and aid in expanding research activities. MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ESTABLISHED AT PRAIRIE VIEW A program of the Manpower Development Training Act was established during the year by the School of Industrial Education and Technology. A class in Typing and office procedure is offered by Mrs. Jean McDonald, a professional business woman. Twenty-four young ladies, all high school graduates, were enrolled in the first course offered. BAND UNIFORM FUND DRIVE— Dr. E. W. Owens, Alumni Executive Secretary, receives a contribution from the Colorado County-PV Club. President C. L. Richardson.
