“MR. PANTHERLAND” Dr. Edward B. Evans If anyone deserves the title of Mr. Panthcrland”, it is our President, Dr. Edward B. Evans. The cordial gentleman of nearly fifty years of service to Prairie View is the embodiment of the college itself. He lived and worked at the institution during its toughest days and has seen it grow to the proportions it is today. A kindly man, and a genius at public relations, he has won many friends for the college and has forged ahead to make significant contributions in many areas of state, national, and international concern. In the evening of his long and distinguished career, the Panthcrland staff takes pride in extending this special salute to Dr. Evans. We wish for him many more years of fruitful sen-ice. 16
