The lucky few who were able to find a job most likely worked as waitresses or gas station at- tendants or check outs in T groceries. The more thrifty saved their money for a new car, college, or married life expenses. The added res- ponsibility and time requir- ed for a job forced them to sacrifice some of their soc- ial life. But when they were ready to have fun, with their added income, they could be real bigspenders. 113 Jeff Noll works at Roberts' Mar ket in Stroh to make some of that green stuff.
