Queens raise money for March of Dimes The 1973 March of Dimes queen candidates set a new record by collecting money to be given to the March ot Dimes fund. They were seen carrying their cans around so that anyone could give to the fund, anytime. Marilyn Freed received the most money, therefore becoming the March of Dimes queen from P.H. 1973 March of Dimes Queen and Candidates - FRONT ROW: Marilyn Freed fQueenj, Penny Tracey. BACK ROW: Sandy Straw, Cassie Turner. Senior, Marilyn Freed captures the title of March of Dimes Queen by raising the most money.

College Day gives students a chance to talk to representa- tives from colleges, and find out information concerning them. Unknown answers can be found to questions stu- dents may have. Career Day broadens the students' know- ledge of such things as airline piloting, teaching, nursing, fashion designing, and being apoliceman. Cards may be filled out to receive additional information concerning a college or university. Students ask questions and discuss the qualities of a college with the rep- resentative. Career and college days expand vocational knowledge 14

Activity Day - a different kind of learnin Activity Day, sponsored by the Student council, is a day of fun and enjoyment for every- one. Students and teachers join together to teach classes of such things as candy mak- ing, ceramics, guitar, harmon- ica, football, and bottle collect- ing. Jessica provided music for the students to dance to at noon, and two movies, Lit- tle Big Man and The Reiv- ers , were shown. Loralee Armstrong and Rod Taylor go over their notes just prior to the start of their class. Mr. Malovey explains the rules of the game as he shuffles through the deck of cards. Students watched and learned as Miss Swihart added the decorative touches to the belt she made. 16 .4
