PEP BAND ATTAINS HIGH RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT The Prairie Heights Pep Band, under the leadership of Jerry Hughes, developed into one of the best pep bands in the area. They played at all of the home basketball games, and because of its outstanding reputation was asked to play at all games in the N.E.C.C. Basketball Tourney which was held at the Prairie Heights School. The type of music played ranged from Bat- man to Wonderland by Night . But aside from this and the basketball games, the merry music makers were a determined group. No matter if it ' s rain, or shine, or national di- saster, we ' re going to play on Friday at the games ringing in their ears.
