Science Provide The planetarium, our pride and joy, is a room in which a projector casts images of the stars and planets on a hemisherical dome. The instruments are used inteaching the fundamentals of astronomy including such things as constellations, motions of planets, groups of stars, and facts about stars. ' They also help introduce the students to the current missile programs connected with space science. Beginning with next year, Mr. Noffsinger hopes to organize an advanced course in space science and astronomy, he plans to start teaching astronomy to fifth grade students who would come to the planetarium two or threetimes a year, and eventually provide adult edu- cation courses in astronomy. Mr. Noffsinger points out parts of the projector while students observe.

This is the year to dedicate the yearbook not only to parents and teachers but to all who have been responsible for the beautiful new building, our home of education for many years to come; and the promise of an opportunity for the best education to be for life ahead whether college is included or excluded. We have lived one year in this building, but this year has been a preview of the educational opportunities ahead for all of us, and we should take advantage of the many facilities available in curricular and extracurricular activities. Let us show our appreciation by being responsible, educated citizens produced by the: PRAIRIE HEIGHTS COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. 4 v.W, I CS8 ■Ji ffi ' it , « • J$ dfJP ftfa | ft i
