I am the class spirit of 1946, and I can see what will I come to pass for the individuals of that class in the years to X' come. 2, As I wend my weary way through the mist of years, I pass I from place to place discovering first one, and then another, satis- fied in the phase of life he has pursued. X , Out in Washington, D. C., as I was Wandering aimlessly about, I came across Senator Willard Albertus, Democrat from , Wisconsin, having lunch with his secretary, Dorothy Cramer. Also in that city of national pride was James J erabek, the newly appointed associate justice of the supreme court. Then I floated up to New York City where I found Nyla Sprecher, concert pianist, playing at Carnegie Hall. Here too, was Lois Shields, the featured vocalist at the Copacabana, who at the moment was being interviewed by James Waydick, colum- .9 nist and radio announcer. And who are those two blond hat I check girls at the Stork Club? Why, none other than June Gieck 5 and Fauhn Richards. ' My next haunt was the Rice Bowl in Georgia where Ernie Aj Baars had just made a sensational touchdown and thereby won the game for Georgia Tech. And the man who was responsible gg, for this unbeaten team?-Yes, it's none other than Coach Mike Shanks. From there I skipped down to Miami Beach where I found Russell Mallon following in the footsteps of Jimmy Lynch, the dare-devil on wheels. Vacationing here was Jeanette Flentje, sec- retary to our representative in the U. N. O., and her good friend, Vivienne Adams, who is the featured vocalist with Tommy Mon- roe's orchestra. 5, In Chicago I ran into Bob Soelle, a well known criminal A lawyer, who with his secretary, Leanita Nolden, was bowling at Q Jimmy's. I found Audrey Meier here, operating a very success- I ful beauty salon. One of her customer's at the moment was La Von Von Wald, who is a switchboard operator at the Edgewater Beach Hotel. Finally I reached good old Prairie du Sac, which has grown ,A , into a huge city because of the reconversion of the Badger Ord- all Q nance Works into a Kaiser-Frazer plant. Quite a few of the old Pr if sl graduates are still around here. Doris Litscher, who was a com- 404 mercial artist for some time, has finally settled for a rose cover- X N 6- ed cottage located near the old county shed site in partnership fi, with Harlow Elsing.
