Don’t imagine you are wasting time for others that you spend; You can rise to wealth and glory and still pause to be a friend. Author Unknown Student Life - 47 A Friend A friend is one who shares with me The bright sun or the gloom. A friend is one with love to spare Because the heart has room. A friend will share a silver thought. Discuss a golden dream. Or hold my hand and understand The silences between. A friend is one who knows my joy. My sorrow and its tears. Someone who cares — my whole world shares — Throughout our sad-sweet years. A friend is one whose faith, like yours. In me will never end. And so today I proudly say, “I’m glad to know you, friend!” June Masters Bacher 48 Student Life Student Life - 49 I’m Grateful You Are My Friend My heart is warm just knowing That somehow you're always here; My heart glows with friendly thoughts; It senses you are near. For memories are magnetized To bring you back to me And we can walk and talk again The way we used to be. Oh, how our hearts need memories Of friends to store and share; I'm grateful that you are my friend, Twas you who put them there.
