ONE of Miss Macauley's principal in- terests was the appreciation of art, having studied at several leading art schools. It was appropriate, then, that a painting should be chosen as a me- morial to her. The faculty and the stu- dent council, cooperating on the project, selected the painting 'The Vigil by John Pettie as most fitting. At a special program during the Art Exhibit in April it was formally dedicated.
