You feel no doubt that greatness is achieved by only the few. However, it all depends on how you define the term. In my opinion a great man or wo- man is one who measures up to three standards: first, he is fundamental- ly generous, second, he enriches the lives of those with whom he comes in contact: and third, he does his work in a spirit of complete dedication. According to these standards you and I know dozens of great men and women--your mother, your dad, your pastor, and the man next door. True, their names do not appear in Who's Who, yet they are great--the salt of the earth. Success to you, my young friends . May you achieve this greatness is the wi sh of your superintendent. sift how to earn a million dollars but who never has enough cash to pay his note at the bank.
