? again On September l, l9k7, twenty four green freshmen went behind those swinging doors to begin their high school career. The members were as follows: Marjorie Birkenholz, Larry Bechtel, Elva Lou Furnoy, Bettye Headlee, Joyce Jabaai, Betty Jo Osborn, Thelma Patterson, Helen Plate, Gladys Roberts, Lorena Roorda, Dolores Vander Leest, Norman Gilbert, Pete Myers, Darwin Ruggless, Harry Stinson Bill Timmins, Melvin Wicker, Faye De Reus, Robert French, Max Kain, Dick Thompson, Donald Van Zee, Lawrence Verwers, and Loren Verwers. The following officers were elected for the year: President-Betty Jo Osborn, Vice President-Loren Verwers, Secretary- Treasurer- Faye De Reus. During the course of the year we lost the following members, Larry Bechtel, Norman Gilbert, and Harry Stinson. We began our sqlmmore year with hn tyfbur members. The new faces were Doris Crosswait and Valjean Brant. Valjean left us at the end of the first semester. We were on the last step to becoming upperclassmen. The following offusrs were elected for the year: President-Doris Cross- wait, Vice President-Marjorie Birkenholz, Secretary-Treasurer-Bettye Headlee. when we came back our junior year, four members were not with us. They were Doris Crosswait, Helen Plate, Thelma Patterson, and Helen Wheeldon: Valjean Brant joined us after being gone a semester. Jean Junge, Dolores Vander Leest, and Valjean Brant left us and Joe Sprouse came at the end of the first semester. On the night Of December 3, l9'+9, we presented our Junior Class Play, entitled, HHere Come The Bridesn under the direction of Mrs. Brunkhorst. On the evening of April 20, 1950, we entertained the seniors and faculty with the Junior-Senior Banauet which was held in the lunch room at the High School with a western theme. During our senior year we lost Lorena Roorda, Joe Sprouse, and B111 Timmins. On May 2H, 1951, sixteen proud seniors received their long-sought diplomas. They were Marjorie Birkenholz, Faye DeReus, Robert French, Elva Lou Furnoy, Bettye Headlee, Joyce Jabaai, Max Kain, Pete Myers, Betty Jo Osborn, Gladys Roberts, Darw1n,Ruggless, Dick Uhompscn, Lawrence Verwers, Loren Verwers, Dolores Vander Leest, and Melvin Wicker.
