I'll have to hang up for I hear a noise. Perhaps, it is the plane piloted by Dale Ross bringing the two contenders for the heavy- weight championship, George Patterson and Charles Keeney. Of course it might be Bill Honnold arriving on his motorcycle. Good-bye, until I see you at the reun1on.n 56 The following write-up appeared in the Prairie City News May lb, 19 . At the reunion of the Class of l9H8, Duane Walker gave the opening speech on HHow to Manage a Baseball Team.n Dwight Jack revived some of his five year old jokes, and the two housewives, Martha and Lora Jean gave advice to newlyweds. The musical 'score was provided by Bob and Ruth Van Zee, singers with Jerry Brockett's nA1l Girl Orchestra,n but accompanied here by Kathryn Bowans, world famous pianist. Anne Tice, the famous fashion designer, gave the preview of coming fashions for 1956. At this point, Marjorie Schakel a former NAl1 Star Forward,n gave hints to the younger generation on how to play basketball. Boni Junge a cartoonist for the NChicago Sun,n told the group how she made her first million. Louise Roberts, singing for the Metropolitan Opera Company, sang a solo preceding Leora Furnoy and Phyllis Shearer,college graduates, who told the secret of the Hth dimension. Iola Marinus, working for DuPont Laboratories told of her new discoveries in chem- istrya Darlene Wicker housemald in the swanky home of Virginia Pink- erton, gave a demonstration of her new devices for sweeping dirt under the rugs. Jack Ballagh then gave the closing speech on how to run a Super Service Station. A record of the meeting was written by Vivian Mae VandeLune, a secretary for Hawkeye Insurance Co. A raffle was held and a 1956 convertible was won by Marjorie De Bruyn. Refreshments were served by Ines and Catherine owners of HBur- 1 pee's Beanery.n Lawrence Booth and Gayle Headlee who were unable to attend because of injuries received while driving for Jimmy Lynch and his Death Dodg- ers, were reported to be improving satisfactorily by their nurse Shir- ley Jennings.
