They will lose two seniors, Elise Buitenwerf and Joan De Wit, but have a good prospective team, with the following lettermen returning: Ramona Wiggins, Marilyn Van Steenbergen, Marilyn-McFadden, Mary Lou McFadden, Marjorie Lee Schakel, Shirley Shawhan and Shirley Jennings. BUY BASKETBALL H The basketball boys enjoyed a successful season. They aver - aged more gains than losses leaving a fine record. They displayed skill which made Prairie City High School proud. Next year we will miss the graduating seniors: Harold Tinmons, Lowell Mc Fadden, Lawrence Mc Fadden Raymond Steenhoek, and the service will probably call Max Schuttlnga. The Prairie City High School Letter Club was organized by a group of ambitious athletes in the early thirties. ' The purpose of the club was to create more interest in athletics. There are three officers: president, vice-president, and secretary-treasurer. .The vice-president is elected from the junior class and automatically becomes president the following year. The secretary-treasurer may be elected from any class, other than the senior class. The members now holding office are: president, Lawrence McFadden: vlcewprcsldent, lax Schuttingag secretary-treasurer, Ramona Wiggins. Anyone, who has been awarded a letter in athletics and has been voted in by a two-thirds majority of the old members is eli- giole for membership in the club. A meeting or session may be called at any ti e desired by the president. The 1944 and '45 members consisted of twenty-two athletes. They have earned letters by participating in football, basketball or baseball, anu also cheerleaders. Letters in basketball were alarded too late for this annual.
