As another school year rolls to a close the Future Homemakers can be proud of their many worthwhile achievements. Planning for the year's work was done during the month of August when the executive committee and our club mothers met at the park. National, state, and local projects were discussed and those which seemed to need our help most were chosen as projects for our club. Civil defense, one of the national projects, was stressed during the first week in September when the girls displayed a booth for the Community Fair, using the theme WWhat's In Grandma's Pantry.U Other national projects we have done are WFamilies Togethern and WTeen-Age Consumer.' The state projects chosen were NKnow Your Familyn and nRemembering the Aging.U 'Know Your Familyn is a phase of the National Project, 'Families Together,' with particular emphases on parent-teen-age understanding. The annual F.H.A. banquet was planned with this project in mind, as this is the one time of the year that the members of F.H.A. and their families are all together.
