The new members installed were Scott Polacek and Connie Kratky. ,z This year, many of the juniors and seniors were very busy deciding on ca- reers, choosing colleges, filling out application and scholarship forms, and visit- ing colleges of their choices. A poll was taken of the senior and junior classes on what they will be doing after graduation. Five want to find a job, twelve plan on going to college, nine want to go to a vocational or tech. school, two plan to work at home, and three plan to enroll in the service. The teachers participate in taking tickets at the exciting football, volleyball and bas- ketball games, Some of the teachers were involved in spirit Week. Miss Thomsen and Mrs. Sackett dressed up like plain and peanut M8aM's on Couple's Day. The teachers exchange names to give presents on birthdays or holidays. Some can find posters or poems in surprising places, As you can see the teachers do get a little fun.

The ceremony was held on a hot evening at the Prague gym with a large crowd attending. The school band provided the music along with the high school chorus which sang Showing US the Way and Go With A Song In Your Heart. Father John Keefe gave the invocation and benediction. Many scholarships were awarded to the seniors. jim Kubik.' S300 Bank of Prague Connie Kratky: S300 Bank of Prague S500 1 yr. Southeast Community College Cory Piercy: 1 year Regents - full tuition for UNL 54,000 each year for 4 years Midland College S200 Faternal Order of Eagles for any Tech School or College of choice Connie Stava: S800 for 4 years Weslyan Presidential Scholarship Melissa Smith: S400 Dean's Scholar- ship at Kearney Marlene Sousek: S500 Southeast Com- munity College for 1 year Darlene Snitily: S800 Guidance Counselor Scholarship Lincoln School or Commerce Roger Kubik: S200 from Faternal Order of Eagles to any Tech School or College Cory Piercy was Valedictorian and Connie Stava was Salutatorian. These students and 6 others had a grade average of 90 and above this year. The others are Roger, Marlene, Darlene, Scott, Melissa and Connie K. Cory received the Presidential Academic Fitness Award for his grade average.
