Ttz'5u te Our hearts were saddened on March 21, 1962, to learn of the earthly passing of a real dedicated servant of God, Rev. Harry VomBruch. Rev. VomBruch was a well known evangelist and a former president of the National Con- vention of Evangelists located at Winona Lake, Indiana. Rev. VomBruch had a deep love for and a heartfelt in- terest in Practical Bible Training School and was an active member of the Board of Directors of this school for over twenty-five years. Being a versatile man, he was a gifted song director, hymn writer and publisher. There will be thousands in heaven who were pointed to Christ by this faithful servant. FIRST YEAR Our Four-fold Biblical Theological Foundation G d' race the Practical Bible Training School has remained in an unshakable Biblicitl anil fhiological tradition from its start to the present time. It is a true Bible h 1 'n as its main text the pure Word of God and emphasizing each of the four ?li:edlCcigiLdZl ilisciplines. The curriculum is designed to provide each student with a thorough mastery of the sacred Scriptures and an effective presentation. of them. Exegetical theology is concerned with the text itself and such subjects as restores, illumines, and interprets it. Our courses in English Bible, Old and New Testament In- terpretation, Biblical Introduction, Biblical Theology, New Testament Greek and Ar- chaeology belong to this division. . . . A Dogmatic theology takes the materials provided by exegesis and history and furnishes a positive system of belief. Within this framework go Bible Doctrine, System- atic Theology, and Apologetics. Historical Theology traces the history of God's people in the Bible and of the Church. This field embraces our courses in Bible History, Church History, History of Missions, History of Doctrine, and Bible Manners and Customs. Practical theology treats of the application of the other theological sciences. Be- lieving that doctrine without discipline and teaching without training are insufficient, courses have been designed to aid the student in putting to work what he has gained. These include: Pastoral Efficiency, Evangelism, Homiletics, Christian Education, Public Speaking, and Church Music.
