Patterson, who has become My Christian Prince in hearts of many, began his progress with Christ in an industrial community in western Penn- Sylvania. As a young lad, attending special services con- ducted by Fred Mills and George Carr, he made his decision to receive Christ. His Christian char- acter was continually molded by the influence of godly parents. His public school education in Jamestown com- pleted, he became a successful partner in the clothing business for two years. Through the influence of a close Christian friend, he then forsook the success of the business world to train for Christian service at the Practical Bible Traihing School. His keen mind and spiritual dedication brought him even greater success in the service of the Lord and in the field of education. His diploma from Bible School, his doctor of theology degree earned at Webster University and his honorary doctor of divinity degree Calso from Webster! give over-abundant evidence of his achievements and his progress with Christ. During his Bible School days Dr. Patterson traveled with the Student's League of Many Nations. Sensing the natural ability for leadership possessed by this young man, Dr. John A. Davis appointed him director of the League in 1927. In the years that followed until 1958 this ministry of presenting Christ was richly blessed with many souls, broken homes were reunited, young people were challenged to Christian service and in some instances as many as one thousand souls responded to a single invitation. Students who traveled with the League, as well as those who gave their lives to Christ through the ministry of the League, are now serving Christ in countries around the world. His leadership ability was once again vindicated when in 1929 Dr. Patterson was chosen to be the Vice-President of Practical Bible Training School. In 1961 he assumed a higher position in presiding for Christ, when elected by the Board of Directors as the fourth President of Practical Bible Training School. A All of his qualities have been thoroughly demon- strated to us by his constant and consistent Christian life in progressing with Christ, presenting Christ, and presiding for Christ. Truly he is our Christian Prince . It goes without saying that one who calls him My Christian Prince is his beloved wife, Mary Patter- son. It is the love, devotion, and encouragement which she gives that make Dr. and Mrs. Patterson the blessing they are to the family of P.B.T.S. May God bless them as they continue together in His service. Courtesy of: The Practical Bible Training School, Bible School Park, Broome County, New York

Lowe's life through which God has worked to tit and prepare him for his present task as Vice-Presi- dent of Practical Bible Training School. Marmion Loyd Lowe, born the only child of Alvin and Angie Lowe was raised on a farm in western New York State. It was in Franklinville, a small vil- lage near his farm home, that Dr. Lowe received his early formal education. There, too, in 1914 he re- cieved Christ as Lord and Saviour through the ef- forts of Evangelist Lee Aldrich and song leader Ralph Carr. By 1916 he was already preparing for the Lord's work at the Practical Bible Training School where he graduated in 1919. During his student years he preached at several churches in the area. He served successfully churches in Triangle, New York, Jack- son Summit, Pennsylvaniag and Galeton, Pennsyl- vania. Dr. Lowe was used in many and varied ways by the Lord while at Galeton. One accomplishment was the forming of the Tri-County Group, a conference cg:,51,: , 3 32,139 . rfxazlffx 1 ' f ' mess Hmm. 5b':T,2k.'Q 33652 -im: 212235 fixrsii I-fwx . x QED . kim-wry Vvyxlb. ww! Lowe of churches united to build and strengthen Christians in their faith. It was during the years spent at Galeton that Dr. Lowe began teaching at P.B.T.S. But not until 1934 did the Lord lead him to make teaching at P.B.T.S. his sole service for the King. It is here that Dr. Lowe has given of himself toward the training and prepara- tion of God's servants in that unsellish and loving manner appreciated so much by all that know him. He has also been filled with responsibilities in con- ference engagements and administrative assistance at P.B.T.S. With the love and encouragement of Mrs. Lowe and his children he has honorably served the Lord these many years and is well fitted for his present responsibility. Thus we are happy to introduce Mrs. Lowe as the woman behind this great man, and the partner in the team that has been a blessing to the many stu- dents and friends of P.B.T.S., and we trust will con- tinue to be, in even greater ways, in the days ahead.
