A Tribute INCE her graduation in the Class of 1943, Helen Gardner has served faith- fully as a member of the staff of our school. For ten years she has worked efficiently and humbly in the Women's Department. In 1953 she became the Assistant to the Dean of Women and the Supervisor of Women's Manual Work. At the close of the fall term Miss Gardner resigned her position here to go as a missionary to jamaica, an Island in the British West Indies. Even while she was yet a student here at Bible School, her interest in missions was evident. Since that time, she has been an aid to numerous stu- HELEN GARDNER dents in their spiritual lives and in encouraging them to follow the Lord's leading -- often times to the mission field. As she has prayed to the Lord to send forth workers, she has felt called to go herself to labor for lost souls. And so, Helen Gardner, we want you and others to know that your life has been a source of constant blessing and inspiration to us, and to the many students in the past with whom you have come in con- tact. You have been a wonderful testimony for our Lord as you have done your work here. Your work has brought you into a close contact with the students, and we have leamed .to really appreciate your efforts in our behalf. We are praying for you, Miss Gardner, as you begin to labor in a new field. We will always remember your zeal for God's work and do count it a neal privilege to have known you. E have been privileged during the past one and a half years to have had Rev. and Mrs. Theodore Wimer on the faculty and staff of this school. Rev. Wimer has served as Superintendent of Men, has taught Evangelism l, and has conducted a class deal- ing with problems which arise on the mission field. Mrs. Wimer has served in the Women's Department. Previously, the Wimers had served God faithfully and fruitfully for twenty-five years on the mission field in Africa. Before returning to the United States, they had been responsible for a large Mission Station and a large Native Church. While the Wimers have THEODORE WIMER been with us, the work of this church in Africa has LILA WIMER been going forward led by the native workers which they have trained. Rev. and Mrs. Wimer retumed to French Equatorial Africa just after' the fall term this year and again took up their labors for the Lord among the African people to which God called them. Across the miles to Africa we wish to express our deep appreciation to Rev. and Mrs . Wimer for the spiritual blessings and practical advice which they have given to us . Mrs . Wimer, your sweet, quiet, consecrated life has been a real inspiration to all, challenging us to be effective witnesses for Christ in everything we do. To you, Mr. Wimer, we say a hearty thank you for your guidance and instruction. You have imparted untold blessings to us, and we shall always remember you for your yielded life, your Christ-like manner, your ability to council, and for your jovial laugh. Though we miss you both here at P.B.T.S. where you have served so ably, we thank God for enabling you to serve Him once again in Africa. T 0 OW Clam Teacher II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. REV. M. L. LOWE, D. D. R. LOWE, we, the Class of 1955, are extremely grateful for the practical and spiritual counsel which you have given to us these past three years. It would be difficult to number the times your advice has made the way easier. However, it has not been your counsel that has been the great- est blessing to us, but your teaching of God's Word and your life lived in conformity to God's Word. Your love for the Bible has in- stilled a greater appreciation in our hearts for all the Scripture, and the spirituality of your life has set a wonderful example for us. But the crowning point of all that you have meant to us has been the way you honor Christ. To see Christ in all the Scripture and to put Christ first in life will surely be a characteristic which will stand out whenever we think of you. To you, Dr. Lowe, we want to say a sincere thank you. And may God continue to richly bless you in your association with other classes in years to come.
