MOTHER DAVIS And God is able to make all grace abound toward youg that ye, having all suiliciency in all things, may abound to every g o o d work. II Cor. 918. i Mrs. john A. Davis Leaving the repose and leisure of an informal home-life, we entered upon a period of complete readjustment to the intensity and stress of a more formal home-life. From the simple to the complex! This was readily and easily accomplished because of your welcome and willing assistance. The motherliness of your understanding sympathy immedi- ately put us at ease and inspired our unreserved confidence. Because of your impartial interest we were made to realize that we were needed to complete the purposed and desired harmony of the school-life. The wise counsel we knew you would grant was an incentive to accept the open invitation to your cottage and caused many of us to wend our way to this homey atmosphere. We have learned from your life never to be satisfied with our good, or better, but only with our best for Him, our Lord Jesus Christ. Your humble dignity, characterized by your cheerful smile, gracious man- ner, cheery song, unfeigned faith, fervent prayer-life, and deep consecration, denotes the attainment of the noblest in womanhood. These characteristics are not only intrinsic but also altruistic. Having viewed these desirable graces and having witnessed many VICTOR- IES THROUGH CHRIST because of your strength in the Lord, we are chal- lenged to press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus . Philippians 3:14. Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father, we bid a fond adieu. -LILLIAN GU1rsoN, THELMA WARNER.
