Bender. THE GUIDING LIGHT The Board of Education handles the business of running our school district and is the single force that keeps us going. The seven members are elected by the citizenry and advised by the ad- ministrator, student body representative, and the people. Moral questions, as well as administrative questions, are con- sidered. The seven board members are dedicated to their jobs and each serves faithfully.

You have been provided with an excel- lent educational opportunity here at Poynette High School. 1 hope that each of you leaves P.H.S. with a feeling of accomplishment and having contributed to making P.H.S. a good school. Noble Administrator TO THE CLASS OF ’78 With the completion of the 1977-78 Poynette High School annual, several observations can be offered to apply in a timely way to you, a student. This publication signals the conclusion of another school year. From my vantage point, 1 could give many positive reactions from an educational and so- cial standpoint. The major determinent as to the value of the past nine months, however, must be made indi- vidually by each student and his respective experiences and accomplishments. I hope that your afterthought about 1977-78 is positive and will meet your needs for your educational development. Where on one hand, this book represents a story of a school year, it repre- sents, in part, one chapter in the story of your life. This, in itself, should be a treasure to you. To the Class of 1978,1 would like to commend you on your interest, achievement, and cooperation. May this type of spirit and effort continue in your future endeavors.
