It was a hard fought contest, but our team proved too much for the bulky Shadeans. Powhatan won 14-G. With this conquest under our belt, we went on to victory over Yorkville and although a few touchdowns were called back, the game ended with the decisive score of 21-li in our favor. We had a rough go at Cameron that first half, but our strength prevailed to carry us on to another win 31-6. Our Home- coming Game saw Adena break the string of victories, as an injury ridden Powhatan lost their first of the season S33-7. We bounced back into the win column the following week after spending a most enjoyable evening with Barnesville . . . score 21-O, Our next scheduled contest with Warren Consolidated was postponed for two weeks. When we niet the Chester jumbos after our lay-off, we had to bow 38-19, The Sistersville game saw us on the short end for the third time this year , . , 43-7. Beallsville lifted us to victory again as we rode over their first eleven-man team on a snow-filled afternoon to the tune of 39-7. River Local had their epitaph inscribed 27-O as we kept rolling through the heavy mud. Our final game of the season saw Powhatan giving their all in what was the most important game of the year, as far as 12 Seniors were concerned. It was an up-hill fight all the way, but Tiltonsville fell as Susac crashed over for 6. Final score . . . Powhatan 6 . . . Tiltons- ville 0. We ended our season with a 7-3 record, the best in the past 10 years. fi bl I f N 6- Q . an g 'N 'Me 7uZe A f X4- VALEY'S NUMBER ONE COACH I If I - - PHS Sherrard - - - - PHS Adena- - - - - PHS Beallsville- - -PHS Lafferty - - - - PHS Belmont - - - -PHS Shadyside- - - PHS River Local - - PHS Sherrard - - - -PHS Centerville - -PHS Bethel - - - -PHS Belmont - - - -PHS Centerville - -PHS Beallsville - -PHS Bethesda - - -PHS Bethel - - - - -PHS Barnesville - -PHS Shadyside - - -PHS Lafferty - - COUNTY TOURNAMENT - - PHS Centerville - - PHS Belmont - - RECORD 15 wins - 5 losses gg! vu? 1-4 I I if 'mf I o Q -'asf'-H x0WHQTQ IE wHQTQ il 'w+ '?
