During 1958 the band played at most of the football games and assisted in the dedication of the new athletic field. We participated in the University of Vir¬ ginia ' s band day and University of Richmond Homecoming celebration. We marched in the Toyland and Hull Street Christmas parades in Richmond. During 1959, seven members attended AII — State Band. Douglas Utt was first chair trom¬ bone. We attended the District Band festival at Highland Springs, and finished the year with our annual spring concert. Manley.
