Students Receive NG's NEW POLICY LIMITS ABSENTEES Absenteeism was a problem for many students. They had to watch that they didn't use the limited amount of days per semester for absences (10 days per semester and 5 days per 9 weeks). Many students had to appear before a review board and appeal for their grades at the end of the 9 weeks' period in which they received NG (no grade) on their report cards if their absences exceeded the maximum allowed. When asked how the system com- pared with that in 1976, Super- intendent Tim Adsit said the number of absences was about the same. 8 lntroduction
