A PRESIDENT IS DEAD A SUDDEN VEIL OF SADNESS COVERED POWERS HIGH SCHOOL, THE STATE, THE NATION, THE WORLD. JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WAS DEAD. SILENCE. . . LONELY HALLWAYS. . . EMPTY CLASSROOMS. . . AS POWERS HIGH SCHOOL FACED THE SHOCKING REALITY. A FLAG AT HALF MAST EXPRESSED WHAT NO ONE COULD PUT INTO WORDS. SLOWLY THE VEIL WAS LIFTING AS ACTIVITIES BEGAN AGAIN. TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS BUT IT CAN NEVER ERASE THE SCAR.
