 The Senior Ball, held April 28, 1962, was opened by the traditional Grand March led by the Senior Class President. Scotty Lauder and his band played light-hearted, exotic music. The theme, Blue Hawaii, was nicely decorated with an erupting volcano on the stage, fish on the walls, a few palm trees, and a lighted punch bowl. The band was seated on a layered platform with poles to hold a fish net over the top. The dance was considered highly successful by all.
