Again we sponsored two booths in the school carnival. We began our Junior Year with fourteen class members. We had two members of our class on the student council. The main hi-light of this year was the Junior Prom which we sponsored in November with Stormy Weather as our theme song. Other important events of our Junior Year included our sponsoring the School Carnival in October, and preparing the Junior-Senior Banquet in April. We decorated the gym for the Senior Class graduation ceremonies in May, and we concluded the y ar by going to Lakeside for our class picnic. Our Senior Year was very busy. We started with thirteen members, and added another member during the second semester, to round out our graduating total of fourteen graduates. We initiated the freshmen the third week of September. We had five class members on the student council. We sponsored two booths in the School Carnival. One of the athletes in our class made State B-First String Tackle for the Shriners Annual East-West Football classic. The Juniors honored us with the traditional Junior-Senior Ban- quet on the evening of April 13th, preceeding the Senior Ball which we spon- sored the same night with Red Sails in the Sunset as our theme song. In May we sponsored the May Queen Dance. Baccalaureate Services were held the night of May 20th. The long awaited Commencement night has now arrived. As we lo k back upon our four years in Powers High School, we realize that we have seen many significant occurences. Among the most important of these was the completion of the new Powers High School. As the first Senior Class to graduate from this new building, we wish to express our gratitude to the residents of Po'. ers for thMr suooort and efforts which made possible this wonderful project. We wish to make it clear to everyone that we are oroud of Powers and take oride in being the first to graduate from its new high schohl.
