CLASS HISTORY LEAFING THROUGH THE FAMILY ALBUM I CAME UP- ON A PICTURE OF A SMALL GROUP OF CHILDREN. A CLOSER LOOK TOLD ME WHO THEY WERE. AS I SAT THERE LOOKING AT IT MY MEMORIES WENT BACK TO THE YEAR '39 THAT A HAPPY SMALL BUNCH OF 21 BOYS AND GIRLS JOINED TO MAKE UP THE FIRST GRADE AND LOOK FORWARD TO HAPPY SCHOOL DAYS. SOME OF THEM MOVED WHILE OTHERS CAME FROM OTHER SCHOOLS TO JOIN THE CLASS, BUT WHEN THEY LEFT THE GRADES IT STILL NUMBERED TWENTY-ONE. Nineteen were initiated as Frosh. They joined with Mrs. hammack as advisor. As Soph- omores THEY ORGANIZED WITH MISS. DEVORE. THEIR JUNIOR YEAR FOUND THEM ORGANIZED WITH Mr. KEL- SAY, WHO ALTHOUGH WAS VERY BUSY WITH THE BAS- KETBALL TEAM, FOUND TIME TO HELP THEM WITH THE Junior Prom which was decorated to the theme, Stairway to the Stars . As Seniors they organized with Mr. nickl- aus. The class enjoyed many good times in- cluding the Senior Ball, their main event, WHICH WAS DECORATED TO THE THEME, HARBOR LIGHTS ,AND THEIR SENIOR PLAY, SPRING FEVER . TWO MEMBERS OF THE CLASS REPRESENTED THEM IN BASKETBALL, WHILE THE REST SUPPORTED THE
