LaBu.1 D Bohan scores two with perfect form games speak predominately of offensive concentration, but the deficit in the score proves the JV plays a very efficient defense Playing stingy possession, and having a congregation of accurate shoot ers, they are adept at opening comfort able margins, encouraging themselves and keeping Brother Kostka s blood pressure down In speaking for their only defeat, an maccurate sortie, of bad shooting and weak guarding, though a defeat, as the close scoring 1nd1cates, it was no disgrace So, should the squad continue at their present pace, it would excite great enthusiasm for next years Varsity The team possesses and dis plays the marks of further success They lack helght with john Rice the biggest at 6'2 ' but this IS compensated by level headed shooters True many games are won and lost on the backboards, but if a club can sink a better than average percentage of their shots, a big man IS noticably lacking only on the defense This is proven by the fact that Braun, Melsopp and McK1ernan, none of whom are over S 11 have played the major roles in offensive excellence Frosh Basketball What They ve Done Its review time for Frosh basketball as the second half of the season looms near Until now the young Panthers have had their ups and downs but have, to a degree been successfully co ordinated through the efforts of Brother Kelly. So far this season they have won eleven games during which time they ran off a tive game winning streak. The record now stands 11 to S.
