New trackmen check the rr sults with thc mana cr They wear amaatd I did better than that looks played very well in the first half and looked as if thev were on their way to victorv Going onto the court 1n the second half, tired and exhausted, they played good ball until the last twenty seconds when it seemed as if the squad came apart at the seams The1r early dominance of the backboards disap peared and lacking control of the elusive ball scoring became increasingly Cllffl cult Tom Dalleys last second basket put the team one point behmd 33 32 but the whistle went before the P NI A Freshmen could get their hands on the ball again The high scorer for the game was D Bohan, with T Dailev and V Duffy close behmd Encouraged by the fine showing that the team made even in defeat, those connected with the team see a roster future ln store for the baby hoopsters Indoor Track And Carden Capers XX hile the laughter frolic and merri ment of the gay holiday season runs rampant throughout the student body the track team yyorks on for the com mencement of the 1937 indoor season was Dec lo -Xt last the long laborious cross country season 1 at an end Cross country had been nothing but a seasoner December 21 19a1 lege Meets. Each contestantt runs his ut- most to the rythmic beat of cheering spectators. Not only does one see the best local teams but also international ones, including Canadian. This, you must understand, is only half the story of what our team endures. Since it is mainly concerned with the honor it can bestow on the school and thus the school body. it is only fitting that the student body take an interest in their behalf. After interviewing the sprinters. I found that their pet gripe is the lack of interest shown in them. While the rooters for Hayes and Lough- lm fill Nladison Square Garden the rooters for Power combine for a very negllglble total Sure Power hasnt the student body of Hayes or Loughlin but the ratio of attendance IS abominable But that s enough preaching Xesterday as I munched a ham sand wich I saw a tall lanky sprinter opposite TILE!
