So we all may be blown to blts with these new atomic and hydrogen bombs, so what? So the whole earth goes blooey, so what? -Xfter all, what are you worried about? fYuk, yukj Are you thinking of the Irymg pan on those red hot coals down yonder all ready and waltmg to cook your goose? Fret not, at least youll have securzty You won t have to worry about being dlspossessed, or having to move There s no cars to watch out for at crossings, no mdlges tnon after meals, and no high pressure salesmen to bother you Theres just you and your horns and your little barbed tail Again I ask, what are you worrying about? What good does worry do? Since nothing happens like it s sup posed to youll only be more disappointed 1f nt doesnt happen the way it should have Th1s is a crazy world It always has been, always will be, and is that way now For instance, I wrote th1s editorlal to get you to be S8115 fied with everything, while all the time I know that the editorlal below thls one will be about my dissatisfaction with television Come to thmk of lt, my not being satis fied, e g this editorial, automatically makes me drssatis fled I hate people who are that way, consequently, I hate myself But don t mind me I told you this was a crazy world I just thought I d prove it I Hate Sponsors that I and mllhons of other TV ers everywhere were morons? I know I m no Einstein, but I can t be as stupid as they profess It seems to be part of the advertising corporations stock in trade that the public 15 an organization of 1ll1ter ate and downright dumb people of all ages who can neither read nor write, nor possess the ability to detect audible sound and legible writing when lt appears on their se s Some big compames must even beheve that we are unable to grasp a term of more than four letters to Judge by the preference shown for the misspelling of words l1ke does and contractions for words like fabulous Did you ever notice the basic presentation procedure? They first tell of the product and its vlrtues, then they flash the name on the screen in case you did not grasp that carefully pronounced single syllable Ah but their little game is not finished, they now slowly spell the brand out letter by letter Then the whole word lights up and flashes off and on like a neon sign while it IS repeatedly voiced, once per Hash Perhaps, they must reason someone hasnt yet been sold on our stuff, so they send in little leprechauns to dance around, scrub smks wash floors and powder ladies noses wh1le a pleasant little ditty blares in the background All I can say IS, It s just TOO MUCH' . , .
