YLASSES Class 408 Never has there been such a class of boys. inspired to so many different things. They have shown the true spirit of individualism. and yet all agree on certain things, one of these being their favorite teacher. Mr. Humphreys and his subject. Biology. They have also picked Dailey as the most popular. with Lo Destro and Nesi trying for the honor of being the t'Class Brain . Some have won many medals and awards for past achievements. Not least among these are john Barret. who won eight medals for track, and Gerry Hun- ter, who won four medals for the same. However all their time is not spent in winning medals. Nick Lacalomita rep- resents the class in debate: Ken Brown. Neil OiShea. and Tad Dejewski spend most of their time on the press club. There are many different types of hobbies represented in this class. among them stamp collecting. which is the most popular. and model plane building. the next in line. One of these that we should delve further. is the basket-weaving of Bob Melchione. He has done this for some time, and has become quite a pro- fessional at it. Another hobby that I think should also be mentioned, is the gun and old sword collecting of jim Fal- lon. He has relics of both the Civil and Second World War. besides relics from many others Among the many future doctors in thls class jim Fallon Gerry Hunter and jim Fayaloro But a few in this sophomore will handle vour law cases for you These prospective barris ters include John Barrett and Hannon It 1S J Isellvs aspiration to become a member of New Xorks finest, thus adding to 408 s legal beagles Potentially Engineers are prominent in this class among which is a chemi cal engineer in the form of Hike Bren nan and some electrical engineers inthe personages of john NIcGlo1n and John 'XIcNulty They also possess a photo engrayer, Power Photo P. YLASSES Class 301 We are not a numerous group. but we are very. very yvileyf In fact. we come to school for the chief and sole dread purpose of driving teachers mad! Yisi- tors remark the brightness of our coun- tenances. the intelligence beaming from our brows. We formed a club. a learned 'den of iniquity. a nest of conspira- tors. designed. so it seems. to keep the teachers on their toes. and to make their lot as a whole. a miserable one. And that, sirs. is what sharpened our minds to the extent which you do see before you. tSuch is the reputation were fast learn- ing to undo.j But now that you know just the type of little angels we are. and I say this with a smile, we should show you just what else we do in our spare time. Often you may see Leo Pipino, with trumpeter Russo and joe Lombardy, rendering a piece of jazz down in the auditorium Leo has played the accor dion for fiye years and joe has pounded on the piano eyer since he was knee high to a grasshopper Russo has been blow ing his horn for so long that he was awarded a scholarship for his ability W hen you put these three together you get the sweetest music OWU this side of heaven Russo couldn t be located for the picture that appears in the upper right hand corner of this page but his fellow musicians could so take a glance at the shot that resulted Besides key pounders there are also cinder pounders for the class is yery athletically inclined First we haye Porter the man with the wings on his feet. who races across the fields of Central Park. He won many medals and awards because of his Beet- ness in grammar school, and he will undoubtedly heap more honors upon himself and the school by doing the same for the Power track team. We also have a boy with the un- common name of Duffy. whom you can find at any time after school hours clown in the yard. trying his darndest to out- bounce a basketball. He is one of the few that you can meet who actually practices what he preaches. He is sure to win a place on the freshman basket- ball team. as he is terrific on the offen- sive, and a wicked man to play against on the defensive. But we forgot to mention the teachers! These poor souls certainly de- serve at least that! In recognition of D LaBua Dis chord and dat chord Wltll J Lom hardy at the piano and L Plpxno on the squeeze box LaBua W'ith backs to Algebra, P. MacMor- row, R. Dalton, F. Gatens, J. Hasset check a point in science. the fact that most of them don't even want it to be known that they are asso- ciated with us we will mention only our official and religion instructors Both our official teacher and our French instructors positions are filled by a man capable of th1s tedious job I am speaking of none other than our esteemed Mr Perreault Our religion period is taken over in the afternoon by Brother Iyolan He not only teaches us Religion but English too We learned long ago that even though he IS a nice fellow, there was not going to be any fooling around in his period But now the bell will ring soon so I guess that it IS time that we said Good bye from the class of 301 LaBua Front R0 G Nealis I Hassett W 0Connell G Reidy E OReilly M McCrann J Payro D 'VIcIntyre K Quinn P Parizlo Second Rott P lVIcWeeny D Pasadao 'VI kennedy J Marino Zmcone I kenny R Lay1S0l0 E Guurbla F Gate I Lambardi X Duffy Thzrd Rott D OConnor R Pryor E Muezer B Gayin F DiGangi J 'VIcIxeon 'NI 'NOHUI1 I Branco WI OC0nnell ,I Porter Back R0w J Moody J Newton P McIntyre R Kenny W Lacey P lVIcNIorrow -X Bolek L PIDIHO W MCMHHUS .I PYICC R Dalton 22 The Power 7 ' ' , - 44 ' M tc - ' ax' ' , ' .
