Wade Miller, Jr. Eddie Neff Burra 11 Paye Delores Pippin Grace Rose FACULTY MISS FRANCES SAMS, who sponsors a freshman home- room, teaches English 9, English 10, and English 11. She received a B.A. degree from David Lipscomb College. MISS BILLIE JEAN SCOTT, who received a B.A. degree from Lincoln Memorial University and an M.S. degree from Vir- ginia Polytechnic Institute is the school librarian and sponsors the Library Club. MISS BETH SIPHERS, who attended Mary Washington College, Radford College, and the Uni- versity of Tennessee, has a B.S. degree and an M.S. degree. She teaches V.O.T., Shorthand I, and Typing I. She sponsors the V.O.T. Club and the Valhi. She is also a junior home- room sponsor. MR. RUCKER SKEEN, who attended Hiwas- see College and Radford College where he received a B.S. degree, teaches History 8, History 11, and History 12. MR. DON STURGILL, who attended Clinch Valley College and received a B.S. degree from East Tennessee State Uni- versity, teaches English 8 and English 9. He sponsors a subfreshman homeroom and the Hi-Y Club. He also assisted with the dramatics. MR. DAVID TIPTON, who has a B.S. degree from East Tennessee State University, is the Band Director. He also teaches Music Appreciation. MRS. EVELYN WHITT, who has a B.S. degree from Mary Washington College, teaches Typing I, bookkeeping, and general business. She sponsors the cheerleaders, Valhi, and a junior homeroom. MR. BERNIS ZANDER, who has a B.S. degree from Shaw University and an M.S. degree from Illinois State, teaches biology, Science 8, and Science 9- He co-sponsors the Bi-Phy- Chem Club.
