Spirit f 1987-as The 4987-88 Powell cheerleaders led our students in a great show of spirit with The help of The Pep Club and The Pommies. The cheer- leaders worked hard all year so that They could do The best of Their ability To represent Powell Junior High. The squad consisted of: Lisa Young, Jessica Schaefer, Stephanie Han- son, Tiffany Mleynek, Alicia Bernal, and Natasha Tininenko. The girls won several awards at camp, in- cluding numerous superior ribbons. They received The Best Junior High Squad award, and on December 5, 4987, The cheerleaders went To a Phoenix cheer competition and came home To Powell with a first place Trophy, eg.-., I'4 ,x,..f--

The team's coaches were Mrs, Simonson and Mrs. Butterfield.
