Agriculture Y Q 1- f-A--www v up six,- Agriculture is one of the electives offered here at Powell. Mr. James Ball taught first and second hour in room T-4. ln agriculture the students learned about things such as produce, soils, plants, farm crops, and more. Mr. Ball encouraged the students to join the Future Farmers of America QFFAJ, which is , sponsored by any of the four high schools in Mesa. FFA included in its activities such things as camping trips, swimming, parties, hayrides. and a lot more. The two members from Powell this year were David Bowers and Max Dodd. crhlx c g is panish This year at Powell Mr. Dave Mendez once again taught Spanish to many students, The classes learned about the Spanish culture and tradition of fine arts and heritoges. There they learned how to speak the language. They also sang Spanish songs, cooked Spanish foods, and par- ticipated in various other activities associated with the Spanish culture.
