Fourteen 1937-1938 Home-Coming Game vs. Young-November. Verna Lee Keesee and Paul Ousley were elected King and Queen of Powell High School--November. Basketball tournament at Alcoa-Ianuary. Football banquet was given in December. Future Farmer and Home Economics Banquet in the school gymnasium, March 1. Negro Minstrel, Cotton Town Cuties, was given by the basketball girls, March 10. In the basketball class tournaments the Iunior girls and Senior boys were winners. A play, Everybocly's Crazy, was given by the Senior Class, April 15. Frances Bell elected Miss Powell High, was given a trip to Nashville, April 8. Mr. Cruze gave the Seniors in his classes a dinner, April 27. The Glee Club and Style Show, May 3, Father-Son Banquet, May 5. Carnival May 9 at Powell Gymnasium. May Queen was elected. Iunior-Senior Banquet, May 14. Baccalaureate, May 15. .
