R-X x Xicvhx r Attending Boys' and Girls' State is a wonderful experience. Chosen from the upper part of the junior Class, delegates are voted on by various sponsoring organizations, the American Legion and Auxiliary, VFW and Auxiliary, the Eagles and Auxiliary, and B and PW. The expenses of the trip are paid by these organizations. Each girl or boy has an alternate who will take his place if the delegate finds it impossible to go. This was the first year that an alternate from Powell attended Girls' State. Sandra Furlong Went in the place of Alice Baker. Girls' State is held on the campus of the University of Wyoming and Boys' at Centennial, the summer camp of the university. The sessions are held for the purpose of making more clear the meaning of our government, with each group being divided into the House and Senate where regular legislative sessions are conducted. Boys' and Girls' State is really worth while. gow' ad ' ' State
